Red Seal Maritime Chef Tasha Thomas Hosts an Evening at EK!
Join us on Saturday September 24th for a demonstration and tasting of a traditional Maritime Seafood Chowder created for you by our very own Tasha Thomas.
Tasha Thomas is an indigenous woman, part Mikmaq from Sipekanekatik, Nova Scotia and part Mohawk from Akwesasne, NY and mother of 6 children. After 4.5 years of culinary schooling in Dartmouth, NS, she is now a certified Maritimes Red Seal Chef. Her mission in life is to combine her passion for cooking with her knowledge of all our natural foods, herbs and medicines and share it with all people, especially her children. In her own words... "I am beyond excited to share this amazing experience with you and hope to see you there for some delicious Maritimes seafood chowder and homemade crackers."
